Moisture is Down Below 16!
As we finished shivering through the cold Arctic air blast with dry corn we shouted to one another Hoorah! At the Orthman Farm in 62 actual plots we averaged over 220 bu/acre. High was 258bpa – low was 182 bpa in the irrigated corn and the top yield in the dryland plots went 158bpa. We planted 105 to 113 relative maturity corn varieties in those 62 plots.
