The Research Team at the Orthman Research Farm today wrapped up the application of precision placing fertility in two locations in the strip to better feed the forthcoming corn crop. Planting is next and we are all excited to get this year rolling.
In this picture we are going through 2009 corn residue that yielded 235-250bpa corn. We left the stalks 16 to 22″ tall which really helps with keeping the tractor tires from wearing and getting chewed up.
